ABSTRACT

The Coronavirus pandemic has resulted in the elimination of the implementation of the Computer-Based National Examination throughout Indonesia, from this case it has presented various kinds of sentimental conversations among the public, especially on the Twitter social media network. From these problems. So research on sentiment analysis of computer-based national exam elimination policies was conducted. The method used in this research uses the Naive Bayes algorithm. The purpose of this research is to identify public sentiment through the Twitter social network regarding the elimination of the Computer-Based National Examination and as a development of research that has been done previously to discuss the analysis of public sentiment regarding the application of the Computer-Based National Examination. as well as knowing the accuracy value of the results of the validation of the Naive Bayes algorithm on the effectiveness of data processing using K-fold Cross-Validation. The results of the research based on the classification data showed that the Negative (N) class sentiment group towards the policy of eliminating computer-based national exams was greater with a value of 0.780, compared to the Sentiment Positive (P) class group which had a distribution value of 0.196, while the lowest distribution value is in the Neutral Sentiment Class (NEU) group with a value of 0.024. So that it can be seen that public sentiment towards the policy of eliminating computer-based national exams leads to negative sentiment (N). After doing the data, it shows that the average accuracy value of the Naive Bayes Algorithm, in this case, is 78.023% with an average Classification Error of 21.97%. Based on these data. Then it can be categorized as a fair classification. The impact of this research is to provide knowledgeable information to see the patterns of language style in the community that result in an assessment of an issue, place, and event, including an assessment of people's perspectives on government policies © 2023 Author(s).

ABSTRACT

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused global disruption that has significantly affected various supply chain systems worldwide. Several garments manufacturers in Indonesia have struggled to get material supplies because of a sudden stop in suppliers' operations. Besides COVID-19, various disruptions, either small or large, can occasionally occur within companies' supply chain systems. Several strategies have been applied to create resilient and robust supply chain systems to both anticipate and recover from the threat of disruption. Three primary strategies are considered in this research: the sourcing strategy, resilience strategy, and supply base strategy. An analysis with quantifiable parameters was conducted to evaluate the application of the strategies within the case study company's supply chain network. An investigation was carried out by developing a two-stage stochastic programming model that includes 128 disruption scenarios. This model also includes two types of disruption: Low Impact High Frequency (LIHF) and High Impact Low Frequency (HILF). Based on the results of the analysis, the strategies are effective in creating a resilient supply chain system. Compared with the past condition, the implementation of the strategies as mentioned earlier leads to a lower total cost and maximum service level. © 2023 Author(s).

ABSTRACT

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Covid-19 as a pandemic since March 11, 2020. The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused a lot of discussion around the world. Sentiment Analysis and Topic Modeling using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) can be used to extract patterns or information from a set of texts. This study uses a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to see what the most dominant topics are discussed during the Covid-19 pandemic and find out research gaps for further research about Sentiment Analysis and Topic Modeling using Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA). The articles used are limited to the article publication period, February 2020 to July 2021. The results of the review show that case handling (lockdown, international airports closure), conspiracy issues and fake news, number of daily case reports, the importance of covid prevention, Covid-19 vaccination policy, economic downturn, transportation systems, learning systems, and new policies for each country were the most discussed topics from March 2020 to January 2021. © 2023 Author(s).

ABSTRACT

Hotel guests' experience and satisfaction are important aspects of the hospitality industry. It is influenced by several hotel attributes. With the emergence of Covid-19 pandemic, changes in important attributes for customers need to be studied. This study utilized textual reviews and ratings from Tripadvisor for hotels in Indonesia in 2019 and 2021. Topic modeling and opporunity algorithm were applied to identify important attributes, calculate each attribute's level of importance and satisfaction, and conduct opportunity. This study found there are changes in the important attributes before and during the pandemic. Finally, the opportunity algorithm was computed to find attributes that need to be improved. This study found that the latest service opportunities in Indonesia arising from the Covid-19 pandemic are 'health protocol' and hotel facilities such as fitness/gym centers and internet connections to improve room comfort. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 outbreak has had a negative impact on the decline in the number of visits in the tourism sector, one of which is the tourist village. The recovery of tourist villages during Covid-19 relies heavily on the role of the Tourism Awareness Community (Pokdarwis). However, the role of the Tourism Awareness Community in the development of tourist villages during Covid-19 is still not clearly discussed. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the tourism village development strategy during COVID-19 by the Tourism Awareness Community in the Teritip Village, Balikpapan-Indonesia. This study uses the QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) method, which is a method for determining the priority of alternative strategies obtained from a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats). The results showed that the position of the Tourism Awareness Community was in quadrant V (Hold and Maintain), namely market penetration and product development strategies. That is, the professional management of tourist villages is crucial to increasing the number of tourist visits. The management of the tourist village must be able to optimize the resources they have to develop a tourist village in the Teritip Village. In addition, the development of attractive tour packages is also the key to attracting tourists. Therefore, strengthening human resources related to the professionalism of tourism village management is very necessary in order to advance tourism villages. © 2022 Editura Universitatii din Oradea. ABSTRACT

The present study investigates English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher’s multimedia knowledge and practices in remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Firstly, it focuses on determining whether some teachers' demographics (gender, nationality, academic qualification, type of institution, perceptions) correspond to teachers' multimedia knowledge. Secondly, it reveals the teacher’s practices in implementing multimedia in EFL classrooms. This present study surveyed 120 participants (Male=33 and Female=87) from Indonesia (N=108) and outside Indonesia (N=12). They answered a questionnaire to identify their demographic information and took a literacy test to examine their multimedia knowledge. The findings indicate that of the demographics, only gender correlates significantly to teacher’s multimedia knowledge. It was also found that teachers have worked hard to bridge the gaps of remote teaching by implementing multimedia regardless of the barriers they have met. It implies that multimedia should be applied not only in remote teaching but also in face-to-face and blended learning due to the power of multimedia in language learning. © 2022 Sciedu Press. ABSTRACT

Introduction. Changes in the industry impact the stable condition of working in a company or industry and it is not something that can be guaranteed again in the future. The proof is that there are many phenomena of job transfers or even layoffs in various business sectors due to COVID-19 pandemic. Many studies have examined the importance of developing career adaptability skills to face the changing needs of the industry. However, studies that discuss the mechanism of forming career adaptability skills involving important antecedent factors such as teaching quality, social support, and career self-efficacy of polytechnic students are still limited. Therefore, this study aims at examining the effect of teaching quality, social support, and career self-efficacy factors on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Materials and Methods. This study involved 265 students at a polytechnic in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The students expressed their perceptions of the quality of their internship learning, social support, and career self-efficacy – data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling by Amos 18 software. Results. This study reveals that teaching quality and social support does not have a direct effect on career adaptability skills. Meanwhile, career self-efficacy has a direct effect on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Other findings, teaching quality and social support have a direct effect on the career self-efficacy of polytechnic students. Finally, career self-efficacy mediates the effect of teaching quality and social support on the career adaptability skills of polytechnic students. Discussion and Conclusion. This study provides important implications for the development of learning in vocational education so that students have a good mastery of career adaptability skills. Vocational education practitioners must design a vocational teaching model that combines vocational teaching, social support, and career self-efficacy to form mastery of career adaptability skills for pop-polytechnic students. In addition, the development of a vocational education curriculum needs to include mastery of career adaptability skills for students in vocational education, be it vocational high schools or polytechnics. In further research, it is necessary to develop a vocational learning model that aims to inculcate career adaptability skills for vocational students. © Mahfud T., Mulyani Y., Setyawati R., Kholifah N., 2022

ABSTRACT

Lampung Province has a lot of historical heritage which is a world heritage for future human generations. The Lampung Museum, which was founded in 1975, plays a role in ensuring the continuity of history in the people of Lampung. Dissemination of Lampung history can be improved through education 4.0. Virtual Reality is a technology that allows a user to interact with the environment that exists in the virtual world and can provide information. Virtual Reality can help disseminate the history of Lampung with interactive and humanistic interaction models for historical objects that are presented without being bound by space and time. In addition, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the performance of the Lampung museum in disseminating the history of Lampung. The method used to develop Virtual Reality of Lampung Historical Heritage consists of seven stages, namely Problem Formulation, Determination of Motivation, Idea Development, Design, Prototype Making, Testing, Advanced Development, and Implementation/Release. Eight historical objects were modeled and enriched with information regarding their relationship to Lampung history, namely the Lampung Museum, Thay Hin Bio Vihara, Al-Anwar Mosque, Lampung Siger Tower, Krakatau Monument, Kerti Bhuana Temple, Nuwo Sesat Traditional House, and the Japanese Cave. It is hoped that with the availability of Virtual Reality of Lampung Historical Heritage, the dissemination of Lampung history can be carried out more progressively through education 4.0. © 2021 IEEE.
